The concept arose from an intuition by Elisabetta Canepa. With her determination and a specialised company at her shoulders she built a team of industry experts with over 30 years experience between them; from the modelists to the product Managers and from the trade sales people to the marketing staff.
A range of professional skills and smart investments in new technologies, such as the latest-generation Gerber, enable the most stringent demands of the market to be met.
The department’s industrial expertise can be clearly seen in the verticalization of the production process, which moves smoothly from the model, to the design right up until the final product. The manufacturing process is entirely carried out in Italy and Poland.
With the strength of Canepa behind it, the organization today creates over 300,000 articles each year.
Numerous international brands have licensed Canepa to manage and produce their “acqua” and “fuori acqua” products: Bikkembergs, Braccialini, La Martina, Jeckerson, Piquadro, Guy Laroche, La Rana, Leonard, S.T. Dupont and Battistoni, while Canepa also works on a private label model and for years the beachwear department has served all of Canepa’s most important customers including a significant number of leading market brands.
