Canepa at Première Vision Paris

From 19 to 21 September Canepa showcased FW 2018/2019 clothing and accessory fabric collections.

Canepa presented newest FW 2018/2019 collections, strengthening its commitment to sustainability.

F/W 19/20 sustainable collection develops new armours on already proved viscose bases with FSC yarn; brocade jacquards present recycled polyester fibres (from plastic bottles scrap), reconditioned cottons and wools. Besides, with the recent GOTS certification, new reconditioned organic cottons, dyed with sustainable dyes, and prints, are proposed in the full respect of our planet. Jacquard 100% GOTS developments are new in the mercerized yearn-dyed silk/cotton.
The prints have new technical and structured bases, triacetate effects, transparent membranes and coupled fabrics.
Thermal printing on duchess, velvet and taffeta enhance minimal designs, bringing out the base. Lurex in matelassé spices up the collection with marked and contrasting patterning. Printed eco-furs go back to sustainability.
Solid colours range from the classical articles in silk to those in heavier drill and silk/wool twills, dyed in raw, with quick and technical coats. Viscose, flowing versions of flush and cady are always on the stage, with the addition of nylon monofilament yarn enriching textiles with fullness and gloss.
The jacquard collection is increasingly oriented towards three-dimensional cloqué articles, and prominent perspectives enhancing design.
Wool and new fancy yarns are used in tubular fabrics and three layers fabrics, conferring the right weight and thickness. New colour hues and lurex brightness complete the evening collection.
The wish of proposing a set of experimental and unique articles inspires a new prototyping. Elegant patterning rework classical motifs like animalier, cashmere and floral with a modern twist.
Woven is conceived to make the most of the fibres used. Silks, cottons and linens are blended with wools, polyesters and lurex, for textiles that are not forcibly identifying a season.
Light fil coupé complements brocade and matelassé. The choice of colours and matchings between shiny and matte develop modern and trendy variations.
The woollen collection is issued by the combination of essentiality and handcraft, sustainable ‘Kitotex® SAVEtheWATER®’ and versatile creativity.
A splendid mix of eco-sustainable materials, bio-cottons, bio-polyether, recycled nylon, and vegetal dyes.
Doubles are extraordinarily glamorous, weaving organza, jersey and extremely thin membranes.
Décor inspires jacquards of particular note, both solid and multicolour, enriched with chenille motives and rubber edging, basic architectural geometries, three-dimensional iridescent effects. A mix of decor and technology, where fabrics are performant, technical, water-repellent and breathable.
Jeans in denim jacquard are peculiar and displaying fil coupé, rubber, pulled thread embroidery and glossy details.
Accessories and scarves are featuring woolen bases with contrasting colours inserts, soft coats pretending knitted fabrics, touches of light enhancing decorative motifs and solid colour backgrounds.
Here we can find recurrent themes like simple patterns creating superpositions or geometrical patterns blended with ethnic sometimes; tartans, micro and macro patterns, multicolour stripes, block colours. Techniques used: lance, coupé and embroidery effect.
